i'm lost in life but i'm sure of what i want to do. i love this city but i want to travel and get away as far as possible. i'm in love with the moment because it's always changing. my days are long but the week sure does go fast. we're just a neutrino to the universe but i choose to consciously put subjective meaning to my life. i don't believe in faith and i don't believe in choices. my life is a contradiction.

Anonymous asked: In response to last reply... Define “rhetorical.”

yes, your questions was rhetorical because you already had an answer to the question. but i answered the question anyway because your assumption to my answer was wrong.

Anonymous asked: And I am to assume most of the world is like you?

i think this is an anon for the last question i answered.

no, i don’t think the rest of the world is like me because no one is like me because we’re all multifaceted. but you asked me what “i” would do and i answered you to best of what “i” would do.

i believe that i have a responsibility to educate other people about how sexism works, so if people approach earnestly wanting to become more informed about the matter, i will answer questions.

but what i dont have to deal with is someone coming onto my tumblr, trying to push their misconceptions onto me (on “my” tumblr) under the pretext that they want an explanation of how sexism works in a certain situation.

kthxbye.

it’s easy to be mad about corporations, banks, internet censorship, the police…

…but once we talk about racism, sexism, heterosexism, cissexism, ableism, sizism, ageism, and specism, people find it easier to tell us to stop being mad. cause it’s easy to be mad about somebody else’s fuck ups and hard to accept that systematic oppression is in all of us and we all need to actively work to check our shit.

Anonymous asked: There would seem to be a social stigma against men wearing women’s clothing, while women wearing men’s clothing would seem perfectly normal to the average individual. I would like to think, should I get invited to a party, I could show up in a maxi dress without being judged, but that would be incredibly ideal and naïve of me. To end it all, I must ask: would you not think a guy walking down the street in a maxi dress to be a bit off?

no. (i would probably only double take if i thought they were cute)

If you are a white woman and you want to call yourself a feminist, you must acknowledge that your whiteness affords you a privilege that shields you from a lot. You must also acknowledge that you are afforded privileges that some men in this country do not have. Racism and sexism are tightly intertwined. You cannot fight one while ignoring the other.

Anonymous asked: Women have NEVER, EVER been FORCED to VOLUNTEER their LIVES or face CRIMINAL CHARGES should they decide not to. Ever hear of the draft card burnings during the Vietnam war? Know how many women burned their draft cards? None. Know why? Women don’t get draft cards, only men do. Only men are told they must be willing to go forth and probably die should the nation decide they need a stronger force. How is that not sexist against men?

i’ve answered this already.

i’m being trolled.

Anonymous asked: in response to the "ism" post: You are completely excluding half of the world from a term based on sex. How is that not sexist? If you saw a girl walking around in jeans and a t shirt, you’d likely think nothing of it, but if you saw a guy wearing a maxidress, you’d probably wonder what the fuck is wrong with him. Sexism. p.s. learn to speak (or at least type) proper English

actually that’s sexist of you to think that people would look at a guy weird for wearing a maxidress. anybody should dress anyway they want, clothes aren’t gender specific.

i’m sorry for not editing through my post, but with the amount that you troll my tumblr, i decided that it wasn’t worth my extra time.

and i’m glad that we’re all civil enough that we don’t have to resort to ad hominems.

ACTA in a Nutshell –
What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.
Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”
What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.
Essential ACTA Resources -
Read more about ACTA here: ACTA Fact Sheet
Read the authentic version of the ACTA text as of 15 April 2011, as finalized by participating countries here: ACTA Finalized Text
Follow the history of the treaty’s formation here: ACTA history
Read letters from U.S. Senator Ron Wyden wherein he challenges the constitutionality of ACTA: Letter 1 | Letter 2 | Read the Administration’s Response to Wyden’s First Letter here: Response

Say NO to ACTA. It is essential to spread awareness and get the word out on ACTA.
